Diamonds need caring to keep them looking great and brilliant. They should be cleaned at least once a month to keep away the "dullness" that can be caused by skin oils, soap, cosmetics and even cooking grease. The only substance that does not stick to a diamond is water. A clean diamond will reflect better light letting it pass thorugh it reflecting to all of the diamonds sides.
There are several ways of keeping diamond jewelry clean. One of the most effective and easy to perform at home is the detergent bath which is performed with a small bowl of warm suds using any mild liquid detergent. Thus, it is recommended to immerse the diamond in the suds, brush it gently with a tooth brush, rinse it under warm running water, and finally, dry it with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Storing your diamond jewelry properly is part of the care process that makes the pieces last longer and to mantain its value and precious look.
Diamond jewelry should be stored separately from one piece to another. You could use a soft cloth to wrap them up individualy or use a jewelry box with divisions. Use the divisions to store each of your rings, pendants, earrings, necklaces in each compartment so they don't scratch with each other.
